These are some of the most straightforward installations we do - a twin-wall flue system runs externally up an outside wall in a dark powder-coated finish, or internally through a bedroom cupboard, and the stove is drawing within a day.
The Victorian railway cottages near the station - many along Station Road and Brook Road - have solid brick chimneys that are well-suited to flexible liners. These chimneys were built for coal fires and are typically oversized for modern stoves, so a liner matched to the stove's flue diameter improves draw and efficiency. Sway sits within the New Forest National Park, which means some properties - particularly those on the Forest-facing edges towards Pitfold and the Open Forest - may face planning scrutiny for external flue terminals. These taller chimneys draw well but need careful surveying - the height means more surface area for tar buildup if the flue is oversized.
